Volunteer at Launch22 to help launch your career! We train our volunteers on a steep learning curve with projects and challenges during their 3 months with us.
Volunteers may choose from three pathways: Community Manager, Content Marketer, and Events Coordinator.
Through these pathways our volunteers have gone on to work in a variety of startups and careers including management, marketing, and investments.

Launch22 aims to be the largest provider of ongoing business support to young and early stage entrepreneurs in the UK. We do this by providing workspace, mentoring and events. Our base in Shoreditch is thriving with start-up entrepreneurs; some have gone on to raise multi million pound investments. Our mentors are specialists in their field and are there to give invaluable advice to members and staff. Did we forget to mention the awesome fussball table and PlayStation?
As we grow so do our volunteers. People having previously worked with Launch22, that have pursued further work in startups, have gone on to do so very easily. This internship at Launch22 will be a catalyst to starting your career and growing your network.
Working with us launches careers, and is meant for people who are determined to learn as much as possible about what it means to be a startup.
This is a voluntary position with expenses covered.
This role involves many different tasks, all of which can be pursued to engage your interest. Ensuring the facilities are maintained, assisting the General Manager with promoting interaction in the space, working alongside the Marketing Co-Ordinator and Events Co-Ordinators are all key areas of this position.
Being one of the first interaction points between members and staff will demand a very high level of interpersonal skills, as well as a certain degree of empathy. In addition, being ultimately responsible for the upkeep of the physical space will, at times, require a rapid and methodical response from the Community Manager. Being able to work with any number of staff on very different projects will also require adaptability and self-motivation. Community management doesn’t stop with management offline, it means online too! You will be working with Photoshop and editing software, giving the opportunity to get creative with branding and marketing.
We need a marketing coordinator, who can effectively convey our story, and more importantly, the stories of the businesses that we’re working with. Their main function would be to help produce work with this in mind, liaise with various media on these pieces, and to get our message across to as many people as possible. The end goal in mind is to become a mouthpiece for the small business community in the UK to allow them to have a stronger voice in deciding their future.
As marketing coordinator, you will be able to express your passion for marketing in all its forms. Being creative and goal orientated is of ample importance along with good organisational skills.
