Design and Marketing Workshop: Can I do it in-house or do it need to outsource?

As a small business or start-up you probably struggle to get good marketing material produced within a limited budget. Ever wondered what skills are needed to do it yourself — create a brand, run a marketing campaign, design an advert, a banner or build a website? This interactive workshop will give you an overview of the software packages used by graphic designers and web developers and what level of proficiency is needed to accomplish these various tasks. At the end of the evening you will be able to decide whether you could save time and money by bringing some of the marketing work in-house or whether some projects are best left to be outsourced. Followed by a Q & A.

The Speaker:
Deborah has been working in the graphic design industry since 1996 and has been a software trainer since 1999. She did freelance work for NY based companies such as Reebock Sports Club, Rolling Stone magazine, Saatchi and Saatchi, the NFL and many more. After moving to London in 2001, she started her own design business. She spends about 50% of her time software training and the other 50% creating corporate identities and marketing campaigns for small to medium sized companies and start-ups in a wide variety of markets. Since many of her clients are in the non-profit sector, Deborah has gained a deep understanding of the many challenges charities face. "Training Made Visual" was born, from her desire to help non-profits empower themselves creatively.
