Why a soft launch? Well we've read plenty of Wired articles on the 'next big London FinTech' and seen loads of stuff on twitter about how Skype's being trialled in UK courts, but what we really want to do is to step away from the clickbait, and ask what do we really want for the Fin & Law Tech community right here in Liverpool?
Should we be concentrating on developing a meetup that deep dives into open Finance/Legal APIs? Should we be talking about implementation or ideas? What kind of speakers do we want? Who do we need at our meetups to make sure it's the best in can be (e.g. Devs, Solicitors) who?
Put simply we need your help to make sure that these meetups become a must for people throughout Liverpool - starting off as we mean to go on; by asking the community first (test, iterate, repeat......)
To help us along we've managed to land 2 great speakers:
-Chris Sykes from Zegal - which is the fastest growing Legal Tech company operating across the Asia Pacific and Europe. Chris is one of the most experienced LawTech professionals in the UK, used to live in Liverpool and is a fully qualified solicitor i.e. he knows his stuff
-Leon Rossiter - City Manager for Colu who are the people behind the Liverpool Pound (the local digital currency). We think it's pretty important to have someone that's not only speculated on more FinTech coming to Liverpool, but has lived and breathed the challenges of implementation
We hope you're as excited as we are and would really love to see you there at Launch 22 on Tuesday 17th April 2018 @ 17:45 -19:00 to help us grow the Liverpool Fin & Law Tech Ecosystem!
