Tech for Good Liverpool are hosting an event here at Launch22 to raise discussions surrounding women in tech for International Women's Day. They'll be raising a toast to the Liverpool ladies who are changing the game in tech - quite literally. With a panel of experts, food and drinks it's set to be a great evening!
Chelsea Slater (Liverpool Girl Geeks & InnovateHer)
Annie O’Toole (Draw & Code)
Ngunan Adamu (iWoman Academy & BBC Radio Merseyside)
Kate Warriner (Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust, STP & Healthy Liverpool)
Deborah Chapman (Shop Direct)
Robyn Dooley (OH This Way)
While these Liverpool women are some of the best in the business, only 17% of tech jobs are held by women in the UK, who are STILL paid 9% less than their male counterparts. According to the World Economic Forum gender parity will continue to elude us for 217 years. In line with this year’s theme for IWD, Tech for Good are urging Liverpool to #PressforProgress and continue striving for gender parity. Everyone is welcome regardless of your gender identification so join for us for an evening of food, drink and plenty of discussion.
With a passion for inclusivity in technology, Tech for Good want to ensure anyone who wants to attend is able to attend. If you require any special assistance please contact the organisation via the Eventbrite page.
