What is YPBMF:
The Young People’s Benchmarking Forum (YPBMF), which was formed in 2008, involves young people aged 16 and above and professionals from local authorities who are members of the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum.
YPBMF members include young people who are employed by their local authority, undertaking a traineeship or actively involved with participation work and service delivery within their local authority.
The YPBMF works alongside the NLCBF to complete joint targets that have been created in partnership with a specific aim to help improve services and provide more learning and participation opportunities for young people.
Where is it being held:
12 Tithebarn Street
Who is the event for:
NLCBF membership covers the cost of up to two places for care leavers and one supporting worker or service manager.

- Whats working well in your area? Sharing best practice from across the country (YPBMF)
- ‘Custody, resettlement and supporting care leavers’
- ‘Keep On Caring’ – new care leavers strategy
How to prepare for the event:
Create an A2/A3 size poster (or write down ideas for a poster that you can create when you get to us) about things that are going well in you LA for care leavers e.g. new projects and ideas
Think about something you need to improve in your area that you can ask a question about for other LA’s to help you answer e.g. “Does anyone have a good entitlements booklet?”
